New York—While it may be true that in space no one can hear you scream, you will be heard loud and clear on April 26, 2016, as Alamo Drafthouse and Mondo, the acclaimed collectible art boutique, join in on 20th Century Fox’s nationwide celebration of “LV-426 / ALIEN DAY / 4.26.16,” a date paying tribute to the desolate LV-426 featured in both Alien films.

The Alamo-Mondo event, to be held at Town Hall in New York City, will serve as the unofficial kick-off celebration of the Drafthouse’s new flagship theater, slated to open in Downtown Brooklyn this summer.

Sigourney Weaver—Ellen Ripley herself—will be on hand for a screening of Aliens, Alamo Drafthouse will offer a custom video pre-show, and Mondo will provide for-sale exclusive Alien tee-shirts designed by Jay Shaw.

The shirt, a tribute to Ripley, will be available only on April 26.  Mondo will also offer an expanded line of products, including posters, vinyl and apparel, on its website on April 26.

"This event is the perfect way for us to introduce the Alamo to New York City,” said the theatre’s creative manager Cristina Cacioppo, currently with the Drafthouse’s Yonkers venue. “A movie that embodies the thrill of the cinematic experience, plus the incredible Sigourney Weaver, and the opportunity to get a Mondo tee, all make for a dream of a program."

Currently in its final phase of construction, the Brooklyn Alamo Drafthouse, located at 445 Gold Street at the intersection of Fulton and Flatbush Avenues, will feature seven screens.
