SAG Foundation Shorts Showcase
SAG Foundation Shorts ShowcaseJune 4, 2012
The Screen Actors Guild Foundation is now accepting submissions for
its September 2012 Shorts Showcase. The deadline is Aug. 24. All
entries received after that date will be placed in contention for
the January 2013 event. There is no entry fee, nor is there a cost
to attend the screening, which is held in NYC three times a year.
All shorts must be produced under a SAG union contract and not run
over 15 minutes. The showcase is open to all types of cinematic
expression and is designed to encourage union members and others to
create their own projects. In addition to the screening, the
evening includes a Q&A with the directors and producers and
networking opportunities with other attendees. Filmmakers may
submit a DVD copy of their film, along with the project's SAG
production number, to SAG Foundation Shorts Showcase, Screen Actors
Guild, 360 Madison Ave., 12th fl., NYC, NY 10017.
