SDCF Offers Emerging Artists Opportunity To Observe RehearsalsJuly 5, 2012
With Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation’s Observership
Program, emerging directors and choreographers are given the
opportunity to observe the rehearsal process of Broadway, Off –
Broadway and regional theater’s established directors and
choreographers, while being provided a stipend.
From the first rehearsal to opening night, observers learn technique and strategies of professionals in creating, developing, or reviving a production of a show. Previously, SDCF’s season featured Susan Stroman (“The Producers,” “Oklahoma”), Kathleen Marshall (“Anything Goes,” “The Pajama Game”), and Kenny Leon (“Stick Fly”). To apply for the Observership program download the application at www.SDCweb.org/sdcf. Include a $25 application fee, a one-page statement explaining the benefit in participating in the observership program, a resume listing directing and/or choreography experience, and a signed recommendation from a peer or artist you’ve worked with. The application deadline is July 31, 2012. SDCF Offers Emerging Artists Opportunity To Observe RehearsalsJuly 5, 2012
