USA Network has hired a new executive to help lead its development
team.
Reena Singh, who had been at the cable net's sister company, Universal Cable Productions (UCP), was tapped as USA's vice president of original scripted programming. In her new position, she'll oversee production of the network's hour-long dramas "Covert Affairs" and "Fairly Legal" and report to Bill McGoldrick, executive vice president of original scripted programming. “USA is extremely lucky to have nabbed Reena,” McGoldrick said in a statement. “With her recent experience at our studio, UCP, she is familiar with the network and will bring her great taste and relationships to her executive role here at USA.” At UCP, Singh was VP of development and current programming. Prior to that stint, Singh developed and produced original movies for Disney Channel. “High School Musical,” “Camp Rock,” and “Lemonade Mouth" were some of the titles produced during her tenure.
