GDC Technology highlights new products at ShowEast

News

GDC Technology will showcase its digital-cinema solutions at ShowEast 2014 in Hollywood, Florida, Oct. 27-30.

The industry’s first standalone IMB, the SX-3000 Standalone Integrated Media Block significantly lowers operation, maintenance and installation costs by eliminating the need for an external file server–while offering High Frame Rate capability in both 2D and 3D, live 3D support, digital connectivity for alternative content such as 3G HD-SDI and HDMI input with image-scaling.

To complete GDC’s IMB solution, GDC’s Portable Storage, Enterprise Storage and the new Enterprise Storage Plus are dedicated storage devices designed to work for a long timespan (optional 10-year warranty is available) with the SX-3000 IMB.  The Enterprise Storage devices provide large storage options of up to 8TB of redundant hot swappable storage, which can store approximately 76 movies. The new Enterprise Storage Plus retains all power features of Enterprise Storage plus a built-in CRU port for faster content ingestion.

Also on display at ShowEast, the new CLA-2000 Content Library Adapter is a reliable content ingest and backup solution that simplifies theatre operations. Users can transfer content from one single source to multiple storage devices simultaneously, ingest content from a Linux based CRU hard disk to a Windows based LMS server, transfer content easily from one single hard disk to a backup storage device such as GDC Portable Storage or Enterprise Storage. CLA-2000 also provides system flexibility with the two USB ports and two eSATA ports.

GDC’s QMS-1000 Quality Management System is designed for cinema screening quality monitoring and control. It performs automatic monitor and data analysis of luminance, chromaticity and sound-pressure level with reports in multiple formats and carries out intelligent and automatic adjustment to ensure a high-quality movie experience. Moreover, it can be integrated seamlessly with GDC Technology’s TMS-1000 Theatre Management System.

GDC Technology will offer a wide range of product demonstrations and technical training sessions at ShowEast. The comprehensive sessions will encompass introductions of innovative product offerings, turnkey service and support solutions, comprehensive VPF programs and technical knowledge.

GDC will be at ShowEast meeting room 308 on the North Tower’s third floor at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa.
