Gabriele Caroti named director of BAMcinematek

Caroti will provide strategic leadership to the department as well as manage the BAMcinématek team’s continued growth. Founding curator Florence Almozini will continue her role as artistic director. Caroti will report to BAM VP of marketing and communications Soo Pak.
BAM president Karen Brooks Hopkins said, “In the three years since Gabriele has joined our staff, he has made significant contributions to the success of BAMcinématek and to the strategic planning for its future endeavors. I'm thrilled to have him play a larger role within the dynamic cinématek team.”
Caroti, who has served as BAMcinématek publicity manager since 2009, will continue to lead that area as well. He was previously assistant director of public relations at The Film Society of Lincoln Center from 2008 to 2009, and served as repertory programming publicist at New York’s Film Forum from 2005 to 2008.
