Online and VOD fest to showcase new French films
Dec 19, 2012
Created by UniFrance, the festival will showcase ten features and ten shorts, which will compete for four awards. These include an International Filmmakers’ Jury Award, presided over by Michel Hazanavicius, the Academy Award-winning Best Director of The Artist; a People's Choice Award; an International Press Award, and a Social Media Award, chosen by 100 influential people on Facebook and Twitter. Deadline's Nikki Finke presides over the Social Media Award.
This year, UniFrance has partnered with iTunes and Vudu.com as well as cable VOD platform Eurocinema to offer fans in the U.S. and Canada more ways to watch the films, and they've extended the festival to a month.
For more information about this year's selection of films and to enter to win one of three contests being offered courtesy of Air France, visit: www.myfrenchfilmfestival.com or www.facebook.com/myfrenchfilmfestival.
