French comedian Florence Foresti performs live on 120 cinema screens

“Foresti Party Bercy,” featuring popular French comedian Florence Foresti, was performed and broadcast live on Sept. 23 via satellite on over 120 screens using GDC digital-cinema servers in Belgium, France and Switzerland.

Pathé Live, a pioneer of live alternative content, distributed the broadcast of the final performance, which was held at the Bercy, one of the largest event venues in France.
 
“Pathé Live is committed to bringing all kinds of entertainment to digital cinemas, and we’re thrilled to be launching our groundbreaking event on screens using GDC Tech’s state-of-the-art live broadcasting technology to over 86,000 spectators,” said Thierry Fontaine, CEO of Pathé Live. “We’ve proved that cinema is still the best venue for gathering people and for sharing a joyful experience.”
