Cineplex launches Classic Film Series

The series will showcase a dozen popular classic movies presented monthly in digital or highdefinition throughout the year, beginning with Casablanca on Sept. 8. Every month, a new classic will be screened on a Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon.
“The ‘Classic Film Series’ is truly a unique event designed to showcase popular movies that in most cases have not been seen before on the big screen in a digital or HD format,” said Pat Marshall, VP, communications and investor relations. “The Series provides a wonderful opportunity to bring these classic movies back to the big screen for fans to experience once again or for the first time.”
Other classics in the series include Psycho, The Maltese Falcon, It’s a Wonderful Life, A Star Is Born (1954), Doctor Zhivago, The Wizard of Oz, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Sound of Music, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, M*A*S*H and Spartacus.
Advance tickets are available online at www.cineplex.com/events as well as at participating theatre box offices. General admission is only $5. An additional surcharge applies for VIP 19+ experience.
