Thomas Rüttgers named Prometheus Film Expo Group's European sales rep

Sept 16, 2013

The Prometheus Global Media Film Expo Group, producers of cinema industry conventions CineEurope, ShowEast and CineAsia, announced that they have appointed European Cinema Consulting’s Thomas Rüttgers as its European sales representative.

“Bringing Thomas on board will help us to maximize exposure and expand CineEurope’s trade show exhibitor, sponsor, and attendee base,” stated Andrew Sunshine, VP of the Film Expo Group. “With his knowledge of the European market and his relationship with key players, Thomas’ contribution to CineEurope will be invaluable.”

Rüttgers has been in the cinema industry for over 25 years. From 1996 till 2011, he was managing partner of FTT in Düsseldorf. In 2011, he was appointed senior VP of sales at dcinex group (formerly XDC, FTT and Bewegte Bilder.) In 2012, he founded European Cinema Consulting. The company acts as a link between manufacturers, system integrators and cinema exhibitors to build relationships between all major players in the industry.

Rüttgers is also the international VP of the International Cinema Technology Association (ICTA) and chairs the ICTA Seminar Series held each year in Barcelona in conjunction with CineEurope.

For over 20 years, CineEurope has been the only European convention and trade show dedicated to the needs of the movie theatre industry. Exhibition and distribution professionals from Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) come to CineEurope to view the latest major cinema releases and extensive product reels, gain valuable industry information at educational seminars, find new products, services and technologies at the trade show, and network with peers at special events. CineEurope is the official convention of the International Union of Cinemas (UNIC).
