Jan 31, 2014

Carmike Cinemas is expanding its presence in Fayetteville, North Carolina, with the new Patriot 14, which is being constructed at 4761 Lake Valley Drive and slated for a late fall 2014 opening. Carmike’s customers in the region include the nearby U.S. Army Fort Bragg military base.

The Patriot 14, which will include an IMAX auditorium, will have a total stadium seating capacity exceeding 3,100. The facility’s upscale lobby will contain multiple concession areas featuring self-serve Coca-Cola Freestyle drink centers, which pour more than 100 customized fountain drink varieties. One-stop ticketing will be included in the lobby area. The new complex will also provide special services for visually and hearing-impaired patrons.

Carmike also announced the start of construction on a new 12-screen entertainment complex featuring its “Big D” premium auditorium at the Crossing South of Spring Hill shopping center in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The circuit is also planning a new 14-plex with a “Big D” auditorium to replace its Horizon 10-screen location in Traverse City, Michigan.
