Fathom Events to screen Orlando Bloom's 'Romeo and Juliet'

Jan 31, 2014

The recent Broadway production of Romeo and Juliet will be screened at 300 movie theatres nationwide through Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network on Feb. 13 and 14 at 7:30 pm and Feb. 16 at 2 pm.

Presented by Fathom Events, Screenvision and BroadwayHD, the production stars Orlando Bloom in his Broadway debut opposite Tony-nominated Condola Rashad. The production, which had a limited 16-week engagement, was the first time in over 36 years the play had been produced for Broadway. It was captured live in November at New York’s Richard Rodgers Theatre by multiple high-definition cameras

“Our goal for BroadwayHD is to make Broadway more accessible to people across the country,” said Bonnie Comley, co-producer of Romeo and Juliet and co-founder of BroadwayHD. “Through Fathom and Screenvision’s partnership, we’re excited to expand the reach of this exclusive content.”
