German moviegoers enjoy open-air digital 3D

The 3D attractions include Avatar, Alice in Wonderland, Shrek Forever After and Step Up, in addition to popular 2D films. Spectators can use 200 deck chairs placed on the lawn or their own picnic blankets.
The managing director of the Comet Cine Center, Hans-Jürgen Brandtner, chose Kinoton as the technical service partner for the event. The local Kinoton agency installed a 6,500-watt DCP digital-cinema projector, an XpanD 3D shutter glasses system, and an inflatable matte white screen.
