GDC installations rise by 60% in 2012

GDC’s current market share is 81% in Hong Kong, 90% in Singapore, close to 60% in China and Taiwan, more than 50% in Korea and 40% in Japan.
“Asia-Pacific is a significant growing market for GDC Tech. Attaining dominant market share in the region is a major achievement for the company,” said Dr. Man-Nang Chong, founder and CEO.
Digital-cinema deployments featuring GDC’s products in Asia-Pacific in 2012 include: CGV Cinema (China and Korea, 150 units), China Film Group (800 units), Guangzhou Jinyi Film & Television Media Co. (200 units), Hengdian Film Entertainment Ltd. (300 units), INOX Leisure and Fame India Ltd. (300 units), Orange Sky Golden Harvest Cinemas (China) Co. (200 units), and Shangdong Luxin Cinema Ltd. (150 units).
