XDC and FTT to pool forces in Germany

Jan 12, 2010

European digital-cinema services leader XDC International and Film Ton Technik (FTT), a Düsseldorf, Germany-based distributor and integrator of cinema equipment, are formalizing their relationship. XDC took over the majority of shares in FTT Group at the end of 2009. In return, Thomas Rüttgers, managing partner of FTT, became a shareholder in XDC and a member of the supervisory board.

Serge Plasch, CEO of XDC, said, "We have always focused on a premium local technical service for exhibitors, and with the integration of FTT into the XDC group, we will be able to provide some extra benefits.”

The first project of the new partnership will be the implementation of the first 100 VPF (virtual print fee) screens in Germany.
