MasterImage 3D Tapped for Disney-Pixar's New Short at ShoWest
March 15, 2010
The Disney-Pixar 3D short screening will be held at two Las Vegas theatres: Le Theatre des Arts at the Paris, and the Jubilee Theater at Bally's. The event will showcase MasterImage's MI-2100 3D system, which features proprietary technology that optimizes resolution, sharpness and color clarity for a superior 3D experience.
"We're very pleased that our MasterImage technology is being used to screen Disney-Pixar's new 3D short film at such an important, trend-setting event as ShoWest," says Peter Koplik, executive vice president at MasterImage 3D. "We are honored to provide our technology for this event."
More than 1,200 MasterImage MI-2100 3D theatre systems are installed worldwide, at chains including Harkins Theatres, Krikorian and Premiere Cinemas in North America as well as Empire, Palace, Omniplex and others in Europe.
In addition to its 3D theatre system, MasterImage will showcase its auto-stereoscopic (glasses-free) mobile 3D display technology throughout the ShoWest exhibition and in its private demonstration suite at the Paris Las Vegas Resort from March 15-18.
The company's auto-stereoscopic (glasses-free), 3D LCD technology for mobile and electronic devices are the first commercial displays of their kind, and the company's 3D camera ASIC empowers dual camera-equipped devices that enable users to create and share 3D content.
