Sonic Equipment to Deploy Christie 4K-Ready Projectors

Sonic Equipment Company has ordered 100 Christie Solaria Series 4K-Ready Series 2 digital cinema projectors, equipped with DLP Cinem® technology from Texas Instruments. Sonic Equipment will also offer Christie Managed Services to all its customers, making available technical support and maintenance services from basic to 24-hour, year-round.

The Christie projectors will be installed in theaters across the United States as part of the Cinedigm Phase 2 digital cinema deployment plan to upgrade existing multiplexes and as part of new theater constructions.

Kansas-based Sonic Equipment offers full-service consulting, remodeling and new construction to motion picture exhibitors and is a certified reseller of Christie digital cinema projectors. The company has installed systems across the Midwest from Ohio to Texas to Colorado and have expansion plans that include Missouri, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Arkansas, Kansas, Wisconsin and Indiana.
