Wanda Cinema Line selects Arts Alliance software

Dec 12, 2013

Wanda Cinema Line, a subsidiary of Dalian Wanda Group Corporation Ltd., has selected software from Arts Alliance Media (AAM) to manage cinema screens in its new-build sites in China. The deal was completed through AAM’s Chinese reseller partner, ACE (Shanghai) Digital System Co Ltd. Some 270 screens will be equipped with AAM’s Theatre Management System, Screenwriter, to manage their content, playlists and scheduling. AAM’s partnership in China with ACE will see ACE representing AAM across China and reselling AAM digital-cinema software to exhibitors and integrators.

AAM and Bangkok-based Goldenduck Group announced that over 400 screens have begun using AAM software in the region. Leading exhibitors signed by the AAM/Goldenduck partnership include two of Malaysia’s largest chains, market leader Golden Screen Cinemas and MBO Cinemas. In the Philippines, a group of leading exhibitors (such as Ayala Cinemas, Megaworld, Greenhills, Gaisano group and Sta. Lucia) have signed up to digitize their screens under Goldenduck’s VPF (Virtual Print Fee) scheme. AAM is supplying both their VPF reporting and management software (Auditor) to all screens, as well as the Screenwriter TMS for select screens.
