GDC Technology showcases Standalone IMB at ShowEast

Oct 21, 2013

GDC Technology will showcase its digital-cinema solutions at ShowEast in Hollywood, Florida, Oct. 21-24.

GDC will feature its flagship SX-3000 Standalone IMB®, which was released in the market early this year. The SX-3000 eliminates the need for a file server, which significantly reduces energy consumption as well as operation and maintenance costs. It is equipped with complete alternative-content support options such as HDMI (for 2D and 3D content), 3D-SGI ports, and live streaming (depending on specifications), which allows flexibility to display a wide variety of advertising and alternative content without additional hardware.

The SX-3000 Standalone IMB comes with a scalable external storage solution serving differing exhibitor needs, namely a portable storage system which is comprised of a compact and light storage device that can be easily mounted on all types of DLP Cinema® projectors with up to 3TB of redundant hot swappable storage, and an enterprise storage solution which offers exhibitors with larger and cost-effective storage capacity up to 8TB of redundant hot swappable storage. The enterprise storage system is designed to be inserted into the projector pedestal.

GDC Technology’s affiliate GDC Digital Cinema Network Ltd. has successfully implemented VPF programs in the North American and Asian markets, and this option is also currently available to Latin American exhibitors. GDC comes into the market with six years of experience and management of over 4,600 screens across 600 VPF agreements with worldwide content distributors and exhibitors.

GDC will offer a wide range of product demonstrations and technical training sessions at ShowEast. The comprehensive sessions will encompass introductions of innovative product offerings, turnkey service and support solutions, comprehensive VPF programs and technical knowledge. Visit GDC at meeting room #308, third floor, North Tower, Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa.

GDC Technology products will also be showcased at its partners’ booths: Callahan (booth #404), Cinema Equipment & Supplies (#1121), Strong (#703), Magna-Tech (#521), MIT (#515) and NEC (suite #307).

To RSVP for demonstration/training sessions or for more information, please contact one of GDC Technology’s representatives: Begona Castrillo (+34) 61-802-85-50, begona.castrillo@gdc-tech.com; Michael Fernandez (+1) 858-405-6055, michael.fernandez@gdc-tech.com

Hunger Games - Mockingjay Pt 1
Film Review: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1

Darker, less action-packed first half of the final installment of the popular franchise moves from arenas to rubble aplenty as Jennifer Lawrence’s super-heroine is called upon to serve her beleaguered and much-destroyed nation as propaganda instrument and leader. Fans of the books and previous two films get a less flashy palette here, but the engaging characters and strong story return to stir interest for the scheduled November 2015 finale. More »
