Turkey's CINEMApink circuit converts to Sony 4K

Nov 20, 2013

One of Turkey’s leading cinema chains, CINEMApink, is converting all of its screens to digital 4K with help from Sony Digital Cinema and dcinex. All existing 113 CINEMApink screens will be equipped with Sony’s 4K digital projection systems and theatre management systems (TMS) in the coming months. The agreement also includes the installation of 25 Sony Digital Cinema 3D systems. CINEMApink will also feature Sony Digital Cinema 4K on all future screens, including two new complexes to be opened before the end of 2013.

Oliver Pasch, digital-cinema sales director for Sony Europe, commented: “Sony is delighted to partner with CINEMApink to help build on its great reputation in the Turkish market for delivering the best possible cinema experience to its customers. With 4K technology becoming mainstream, this investment by CINEMApink will future-proof itself and ensure it stays ahead of the industry by installing true 4K-quality projectors across their venues.”
