Cinemeccanica CineCloud server solution is now DCI-compliant

Nov 26, 2012

Cinemeccanica announced that its Cinecloud IMB-based solution successfully passed CTP requirements and is now DCI-compliant. It is immediately available for the global market.

With this new system architecture, the server or a cluster of servers is centralized in a dedicated room inside the theatre and content is streamed over a TCP/IP network to all the Integrated Media Blocks housed in the projectors. The CineCloud results in cost and maintenance reduction and easier management.

The official Cinecloud website (www.cinemeccanica.eu/cmcloud/?l=en) offers details on "dynamic scheduling" that reduces the transfer of content between theatres to a few seconds.
