GDC Technology expands d-cinema efforts in Latin America

Oct 18, 2013

After successful delivery of approximately 30,000 digital-cinema servers worldwide, GDC Technology has started expanding its digital-cinema footprint in Latin America. The company has organized a series of training sessions and established a dealer network in order to better serve its Latin American customers.

GDC Technology has organized multiple informative technical training classes which have trained 34 resellers and 42 exhibitors in various Latin American countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Brazil. At completion, qualified attendees are issued training certificates. In addition, GDC Technology provides regular training to exhibitors, resellers and partners in both Mexico and Brazil for its complete product line, including d-cinema servers and theatre management systems. “GDC Technology has shown tremendous commitment to the market by providing comprehensive training seminars to us. Our technical team has found the training to be thorough and informative,” said the director of infrastructure at Cinemex Cinemas.

GDC has established a dealer network that will work with resident dealers and service providers to stock spare parts and server units locally. Furthermore, GDC Technology currently maintains a 24/7/365 service support hotline which is available in both Spanish and English, with Portuguese service soon to be available.

Recently, leading Brazilian exhibitors Espaço Itaú de Cinema, Cinespaço, Circuito Cinearte, MovieCom, Cineflix and Roxy Cinemas have selected GDC products for their digital-cinema deployments.
