Bow Tie Cinemas to deploy Technicolor 3D

March 5, 2010

Technicolor reached an agreement with New York City-based Bow Tie Cinemas to install Technicolor 3D in all Bow Tie locations on 25 of its 150 screens. Technicolor 3D is a new 3D system for 35mm projectors, enabling exhibitors to equip theatres for 3D at a much lower cost than digital 3D.

Bow Tie will install Technicolor 3D in advance of the first film available in the Technicolor 3D format, DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon, which opens on March 26.
