FTT opens subsidiary in Belgium

Düsseldorf, Germany-based cinema service company Film-Ton-Technik (FTT) opened a subsidiary in Belgium on Sept. 1. FTT Digital Cinema Belux S.A. is a joint venture with Professional Cinema Sound, headed by cinema technology veteran Serge Lambillotte.

Till Cussmann, XDC’s former business-development manager for the German-speaking market, is expected to be the connection between customers in Belgium and Luxembourg and the German mother company.

Thomas Rüttgers, chairman of FTT, said: “Having pooled our forces with XDC at the beginning of the year, this new branch is the corollary to be able to offer customized services in our core segments.”

FTT is also planning joint ventures in the Czech Republic and Romania.
