Omniterm POS integrates Datacap NETePay technology

Sept 26, 2012

Omniterm Data Technology, a leading point-of-sale solutions provider serving the cinema industry for the past 34 years, and Datacap Systems, a developer of integrated payment verification interfaces for over 29 years, announced the successful integration of Datacap’s NETePay™ technology to Omniterm’s Integra POS Application Suite.

Omniterm’s POS solutions integrate box-office and concession functionality while increasing efficiency and management effectiveness for both single-site venues and multi-site operations. Datacap’s business strategy is to use its products, services and relationships to build bridges between retail system suppliers and merchant bankcard services providers.

“Implementing our Out-of-Scope integrated payment solution will provide Omniterm’s customer base with a larger selection of major processors,” said Justin Zeigler, director of marketing at Datacap. “It ensures the removal of all cardholder data from their point-of-sale application by having a PA-DSS validated interface for secure processing, with encrypted communications between dsiPDCX™ and NETePay, and between NETePay and the payment processor.”

As a result, Omniterm’s Integra POS application was removed from scope of PA-DSS compliance requirements. “This solution is an industry first and serves as a great differentiator between Omniterm and other providers in the cinema industry. We have customers who are already realizing the benefits and savings of implementing this solution,” noted Darrin Lewis, Omniterm’s director of sales.
