Christie announces array of executive appointments

Christie announced several senior management appointments.

Jennifer Smith was promoted to executive VP of Christie’s new Global Market Solutions group. In this new role, she is responsible for the identification of customer and market needs for Christie’s key areas of business and the strategy to meet those needs. Smith has been with Christie for 14 years and was most recently VP, global engineering.

Succeeding Smith as VP, global engineering, is Mike Esch, promoted from senior director of engineering. Esch has more than 15 years of engineering management experience, the majority of it with Christie.


In the new position of executive VP, operations, Ihor Stech is responsible for global operations, supply chain management, logistics and after-sale services. Stech has 14 years of Christie experience and nearly three decades of like-industry experience.

Earlier this month, Dale Miller was promoted to executive VP, global sales, reporting to Christie CEO Jack Kline. Miller is responsible for overall sales strategy and execution across the Americas, Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Miller has been with Christie for 24 years and was most recently VP, EMEA.


Reporting to Miller will be Zoran Veselic, who, in the new position of VP, global systems accounts, will grow Christie’s system sales capabilities and utilize the company’s extensive field engineering and professional services resources for all of Christie’s product lines. Veselic was most recently VP, Visual Environments, encompassing visualization and simulation solutions at Christie.


Simon Smith was promoted to VP, sales, for Europe, Middle East and Africa, which includes Christie outreach in 41 countries out of eight offices. Jeff Klaas assumes the role of VP, the Americas, comprising the United States, Canada and Latin America (Mexico, the Caribbean and South America).


Continuing as VP, sales, for Asia-Pacific, Lin Yu will also report to Miller. As well, Craig Sholder, most recently Christie’s VP of Entertainment Solutions, was promoted to executive VP, business development.
