Christie to showcase RGB pure laser projector at CineEurope

Technology and New Products

Christie will present the latest trailer content projected with the 2K version of Christie’s family of RealLaser cinema projectors, the CP2315-RGB pure laser projector, in a 15-seat theatre in Suite D at the CineEurope tradeshow in Barcelona, Spain. The theatre will also highlight the sound of Christie’s Vive Audio™ screen-channel and surround loudspeakers.

Since previewing the CP2315 and CP2320 at CinemaCon, Christie is delighted to officially launch both products at CineEurope,” said Dale Miller, executive VP, cinema, at Christie. “The 12k lumen CP2315-RGB and its 18k lumen counterpart, the CP2320-RGB, will have all of the groundbreaking features found in the CP4325-RGB, and more. As well, RealLaser projectors are able to use our existing lens suite, for added value. Both models build on the success of the CP4325-RGB, which has been shipping globally to customers around the world since March to much acclaim.”

Christie will also be presenting a preview of the CP2315-RGB and CP2320-RGB projection solutions as part of the ICTA Seminar Series Barcelona at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, as part of the “Innovations in the Pipeline” track.

Featuring a patented all-in-one, direct-coupled RGB illumination system, Christie’s RGB projection systems use pure red-green-blue direct-emitting laser technology to deliver an immersive cinema experience in a cost-effective offering.

In addition to Christie’s presence, Thomas Rüttgers, managing director of ECCOPLEXX—a valued Christie partner—will moderate a panel on “Designing the Theatre of Tomorrow” at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 12 in the main convention center ballroom, Exhibition Hall, Level 0.

Christie has installed its Christie Vive Audio solution in more than 1,000 auditoriums since introduction, most recently in the Cinema Helios venue in Gdańsk Poland. Christie Suite D will feature both live (in-theatre) and static displays, showcasing the dynamic sound of the Christie Vive Audio LS1 screen channel speakers, S118LP low-profile LFE subwoofer and LS1S surround speakers.

Featuring advanced planar-ribbon driver technology, the LS Series product portfolio includes four-way screen channel systems and two-way surround channel loudspeakers, and offers a cost-effective solution for small to medium-sized auditoriums. In addition, a technology preview of the upcoming SDA amplifiers will be on display featuring multi-channel and networking capabilities.
