CineStar 4DX Mall of Split, the biggest multiplex in Dalmatia, Croatia, was honored by the European branch of the International Cinema Technology Association (ICTA) with the “Best New Build Cinema of the Year” Award during the start of CineEurope in Barcelona, Spain.

Jadranka Islamovic, CEO and board member; Hrvoje Krstulovic, board member; Branka Krstulović, VP, marketing and promotion, and Juliane Kieft, representative of CineStar Kieft Group, accepted the award.

"This prestigious ICTA award is the crown of our 15-year operation, and it came just before the completion of our 15th project in Croatia—the CineStar multiplex in Pula, Croatia—and before the announcement of the another multiplex project in Zagreb, capital of Croatia,” Krstulovic said. “This continues our investment cycle which we initiated in 2003 when we established the company. This award places Croatia and the city of Split on the map of Europe's best cinemas."

ICTA is an international network of professionals from technology-related areas of the cinema industry. Its members are leading manufacturers as well as distributors and service companies. Also receiving ICTA awards were Zoo Palast Berlin, Germany as “Classic Cinema of the Year” and Village World @ The Mall Athens, Greece as “Best Cinema Refurbishment of the Year.”

CineStar 4DX Mall of Split has nine screens with laser projection, including an eXtreme PLF screen and a 4DX motion and effects auditorium, along with a Cinema Bar and two birthday party rooms.
