CineStar opened its first multiplex cinema in Pula, the largest city and the cultural center of Istria, and the eight-largest city in Croatia. The three-screen multiplex, CineStar's 15th site in Croatia, is part of the newly opened Max City shopping mall.

During the opening ceremony, Jadranka Islamovic of the Blitz CineStar management board said: "We are very pleased that our 15th site in Croatia, the crown of Blitz-CineStar's 15-year investment, has happened in Pula, and we are grateful for your warm welcome. We believe this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship between CineStar and the citizens of Pula, as it happens in every city where we open our cinemas."

Also present at the opening were Blitz-CineStar management board members Hans-Heinrich Kieft and Hrvoje Krstulovic, and Ivan Bubic, State Secretary of the Central Government Office for Public Procurement.

The largest cinema in Istria, CineStar Pula is fully equipped with Barco laser projectors, JBL and Crown sound systems, and RealD 3D. The CineStar eXtreme auditorium offers a larger screen and leather adjustable seats, including specially designed VIP Relax seats.
