Kinopolis and RealD announce multi-year partnership

Kinopolis and RealD announced the renewal of their long-term partnership. Kinopolis will use 3D equipment and glasses provided by RealD in all of their cinemas in Germany.

Gregory Theile, managing director, said, “Kinopolis is proud to continue our strong relationship with RealD in Germany. It has always been our goal to create the best possible 3D experience for our consumers and we can’t think of a better partner than RealD to present 3D movies with the best possible quality in our cinemas to do so. Movie highlights like Star Wars, Justice League and similar blockbusters are made for being seen in 3D. We believe in the future of the very healthy 3D market in Germany and our ongoing partnership with RealD reflects that.”

Roger Harris, managing director of RealD for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia, said, “RealD is very happy to extend our longtime deal with Kinopolis into the future. It’s our common goal to offer the finest 3D experience to the consumer and we will continue to enhance not only our technical improvements but will also identify common marketing opportunities with Kinopolis to strengthen the German 3D market.”

Kinopolis operates 17 sites totaling 147 screens.
