MAG Cinema, the largest speaker and amplifier manufacturer in Eastern Europe, announced the introduction of DANA (Direct AES and Network Amplifiers), designed specifically to be used with the MAG cinema speaker series. MAG DC series (DC 600A, DC 1200A, DC 1208A and DC 3000A) is a versatile new signal distribution and amplification platform for cinemas. No additional cinema processor is needed.

The amplifiers include a modern DSP, ready speaker presets, remote control and monitoring via dedicated software suite and digital AES/EBU input capability that can be used for direct connection with the cinema server and integration with TMS.

“We are very excited to see the first multiplexes in Korea, Russia, France and Vietnam running with our new amplifier platform,” said Jérôme Michel, MAG cinema sales director. “With the rising desire for increased technical efficiency, it was important that we continue to deliver our premium sound quality with a cost-attractive and well-designed amplification solution.”

According to MAG Cinema, the key advantages of DANA are better sound due to fewer conversions, easier connections and fast setup, increased redundancy and reliability, and attractive total cost of ownership.
