Total Cinema Solutions offers technical support to theatres affected by Hurricane Harvey

Cinemas News

As any independent theatre owner/operator will tell you, keeping a theatre going is no easy task, and it's important that those in the exhibition community support one another. Often, that support takes the form of advice and wisdom exchanged at the many trade shows FJI covers in its pages every month.

However, Peabody, Massachusetts-based Total Cinema Solutions (TCS)–which, as indicated by its name, deals with myriad aspects of the modern-day cinema, including projection, digital signage and phone, POS and accessibility systems–is upping its game with an offer to provide free telephone/internet technical support to theatres affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. "We know that prior to the recent hurricane our industry just went through one of the poorest performing summers at the box office," said TCS in a statement. "It has been said that this summer's box office was one of the worst in 25 years. Now that your business has survived the summer, you get hit with this. We want to help."

From now through October 31st, if you're an independent theatre or small circuit in Texas or Louisiana that's struggling to reopen post-Harvey, TCS will provide telephone/internet technical support to you free of charge: "There may be some technical limitations as to how far we can guide you, but we will try to help you get back on your feet." Call (888) 422-4778 for more information. The exhibition community looks out for each other once again. Every bit counts.
