The Video Advertising Bureau (VAB) named Lauren Leff VP, marketing and communications. In this newly created role, Leff will oversee the organization’s internal and external communications supporting the VAB’s advocacy and efforts to provide advertisers and their agencies with the most current and actionable media insights on the expanding world of premium multiscreen video content.

Leff previously led PR and communications at cinema-advertising network National CineMedia, MSNBC, CNBC and Showtime Networks, as well as independent public-relations agency teams representing Discovery, HGTV and Telemundo, among others.

“Accurate, reliable information and insights has never been more important to U.S. advertisers and marketers,” said Sean Cunningham, president and CEO of the VAB. “Lauren has worked alongside many of our member companies throughout her career and understands the evolving industry marketplace intimately. Her prior experience partnering with some of the most well-known brands in the media and advertising business to help advance growth opportunities makes her an excellent addition to the VAB. We welcome her to our team and know she’ll be a valuable asset.”

Most recently, Leff was a senior VP at New York’s Kite Hill PR, overseeing account teams for Salon Media Group, Branded Entertainment Network, Trusted Media Brands and cross-device marketing technology company Tapad.
