Warner Bros. merges domestic and international operations
Sue Kroll and Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, presidents of worldwide distribution at Warner Bros. Pictures, announced the merging of their domestic and international businesses into “a premier and dynamic worldwide distribution organization.”
Executive VP Jeff Goldstein will be the head of domestic distribution. In addition to day-to-day oversight, he will also serve as the face of the division to domestic exhibition and the trade press on all matters of domestic film performance.
Executive VP Tom Molter will head up international distribution. He will manage the international teams around the world and serve as the face of the division to international and multinational exhibitors and the trade. He will work hand-in-hand with Goldstein to create a global view on all exhibition, technology, growth and worldwide business-development strategies.
Nancy Carson, executive VP, worldwide theatrical analytics and planning, will work in partnership with Goldstein and Molter to create a global view on all matters of film forecasting, planning, dating, analytics, etc. Her function will focus on streamlining global planning of theatrical releases, enabling the studio to more effectively identify future opportunities and gaps, share learnings across the division and company, and effectively implement strategic plans for growth.
Finally, David Brander, executive VP, worldwide operations and finance, Theatrical Marketing & Distribution Groups, is responsible for worldwide oversight of business operations, systems, administration and finance for the worldwide marketing and distribution team.
