Eclair, a leader in content services for the motion picture and television industries, announced the appointment of Dan Clark as its commercial director in the United Kingdom.

Clark started his career in 2001 with Kodak Motion Picture as feature and short film manager before becoming postproduction and digital cinema manager, and then technical manager. In 2010, he joined Fujifilm Motion Picture, taking on his first international position as European sales manager. For the past four years, he was the commercial and client relations manager of Motion Picture Solutions, and prior to that, Arts Alliance Media’s sales manager, content and distributor services.

Manel Carreras, Eclair’s senior VP of business development and studio relations and U.K. general manager, stated: “We are delighted to be working with Dan Clark, as we are convinced his 16-year background experience in sales and technologies and his deep knowledge of our fast-evolving motion picture and leisure industries will be a great opportunity to increase business momentum for our portfolio of content services in the United Kingdom and across Scandinavia."

“I am thrilled to be joining the inspiring team at Eclair, led by senior VP Pascal Mogavero and Manel Carreras, to accelerate both the development of our businesses in various fields—theatrical and downstream mastering, international servicing, KDM management, content delivery—and our powerful brand, which has been an industry fixture for over a century,” Clark stated. “Eclair’s innovative technologies, including EclairPlay and EclairColor HDR, are very stimulating and I am eager to utilize my expertise and extensive network to help contribute to their success.”

Clark is based at Eclair’s London office and reports directly to Manel Carreras. Located in a landmark building known as The Observatory, Eclair's U.K. office located near Oxford Circus oversees digital distribution, theatrical delivery, versioning and accessibility and European live event management. It also houses a state-of-the-art nine-seat screening room featuring Dolby Atmos.
