Fathom Events announced a strategic partnership with Authentic Brands Group (ABG), a brand development, marketing and entertainment company and owner of Elvis Presley Enterprises LLC. The partnership kicks off this summer with an exclusive two-day theatrical release of Presley’s celebrated “’68 Comeback Special,” directed and produced by Steve Binder, to cinema audiences worldwide.

The “’68 Comeback Special” will hit big screens with a 50th-anniversary event on August 16 and 20. More details, including screening times, locations and ticketing, will be announced in the coming weeks. Music and media producer Spencer Proffer, CEO of Meteor 17, and ABG’s Marc Rosen, senior VP of entertainment, will serve as the producers of the event and will collaborate on the development and distribution of new, exclusive cinema presentations.

“ABG is recognized as a global leader in the brand space and the company’s commitment to creating immersive brand experiences aligns perfectly with Fathom’s dedication to providing our audiences with exclusive, interactive and memorable cinema events,” Fathom Events CEO Ray Nutt said. “We look forward to working together on many exciting projects for cinema audiences worldwide, beginning with this rare concert experience for Elvis fans.”

ABG owns a global portfolio of celebrity, entertainment and lifestyle brands including Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Shaquille O’Neal, Juicy Couture, Nautica and Prince Tennis.

“Our brands have incredibly dedicated and passionate fans and we are constantly looking for new ways to deliver one-of-a-kind experiences that are engaging, relevant and inspiring,” said Marc Rosen, senior VP of entertainment at ABG. “Seeing Elvis onscreen is one of the most memorable and influential brand experiences and we look forward to bringing this special and future events to audiences around the world.”
