Malco Kids' Fest to benefit children's hospitals


Malco Theatres is letting kids help kids through their 2013 Kids Summer Film Fest. Over the years, the festival has raised thousands of dollars for various children’s charities. This year’s recipients include Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Kosair Children’s Hospital (Owensboro, KY), the Monroe E. Carroll Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, and the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital (Jackson, Mississippi).

Every Tuesday and Wednesday from June 4 through July 31, select Malco Theatres will play favorite kids’ movies at a discounted price. Titles include Rio, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Ice Age: Continental Drift, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Roderick Rules, Space Chimps, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked for only $2 per ticket. Shows start promptly at 10 a.m.
