Digiplex selects Omniterm Theatre Management Software


Omniterm, an leading point-of-sale solutions company serving the cinema industry for over 35 years, was selected by Westfield, NJ-based Digital Cinema Destinations Corp. (Digiplex Destinations) as the Theatre Management Software provider for their theatres throughout the United States.

Digiplex Destinations utilizes digital technology to provide consumers with dynamic content that transcends traditional cinematic fare. The circuit currently operates 19 theatres with 184 screens utilizing Omniterm’s enterprise solution.

Digiplex Destinations upgraded all their theatres from their pre-existing multiple POS providers. “It was an important decision for us,” said Chuck Goldwater, Digiplex senior VP. “Omniterm gives us a wholly integrated solution that will enable us to provide the enhanced customer services that we were looking for when we made our decision, including our Digiplex Rewards Club and a mobile ticketing program for our customers.”

In addition to the standard box-office, concession and kiosk applications, as part of the upgrade Digiplex Destinations is using the system to deploy circuit-wide loyalty and gift card programs, a national NCM preshow program, and Internet ticketing.
