Cineplex offers free movies to benefit Olympians
Cineplex Entertainment will host its third annual National Community Day on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 16.
Guests are invited to Cineplex theatres across Canada to enjoy a free movie, and popcorn, soft drinks and select candy items for $2.00. All proceeds from concession sales benefit the Canadian Olympic Foundation.
“Community Day is a great opportunity for families to enjoy a free morning at the movies in support of a great cause,” said Pat Marshall, Cineplex’s VP, communications and investor relations. “Like all Canadians, we know our guests will welcome the opportunity to support our country’s outstanding Olympic athletes.”
Cineplex and Canadian Olympic Committee employees will volunteer their time at theatres across the country in support of this cause. Cineplex thanks Sony Pictures Releasing, Mars Canada and Deluxe Entertainment for providing product or services to make Community Day a reality.
A complete listing of movies and showtimes for local theatres can be found at Cineplex.com/CommunityDay. Seating for each movie is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Theatres will open their doors to guests at 8:30 a.m., with the first movies beginning at 9 a.m.
