Qube Cinema servers to support Dolby Atmos
Qube Cinema has been licensed to support Dolby Atmos™ playback in its servers. The Qube XP-D and XP-I digital-cinema servers are the first in the Qube server line to be evaluated to support Dolby Atmos playback, with software updates expected to be available in early 2014.
“Integrating Dolby Atmos with Qube Cinema servers makes it easier for exhibitors to take advantage of the future of superior sound,” said Doug Darrow, Dolby’s senior VP, cinema. “Using overhead speakers as well as surrounds, Dolby Atmos creates realistic and natural sound experiences that envelop and involve audiences in the stories on the screen.”
Visitors to CineAsia can see a demo of the XP-D and XP-I servers at booth 401 by contacting Raja Enok at firstname.lastname@example.org or +91 98676-00121.
